M*A*S*H or MASH show DVD is a series comprising of dramatic events and sometimes comedy, which was featured in the 1970�s. It was a great sitcom which nobody watched for almost about 5 years. There were some dedicated and hardcore fans of this series but masses of people ignored the series because of the unique subject of this series consisting of war and serious subject matter. In 1972, the series was invented by M*A*S*H (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) author Richard Hornberger, who used a name Richard Hooker as an author after the successful movie in 1968 by the same name. Although the initial ratings were lower, CBS was not able to deny that the story had some awesome quality and content with all the characters around. In the present day, a story like M*A*S*H could not make up through the first year. While in the earlier days when this series was published, TV networks gave ample amount of time so that the series would be capable of maturing and pick up popularity amongst the masses. CBS gave almost 11 years to M*A*S*H to flourish.
M*A*S*H was going through its growing pains during 1972-1977 and was producing the best creativity during those years. When the show was in its finale in 1983, it picked up huge popularity just like old wine is tastier than a new one. It was so popular that many channels showed it even 3 or 4 times a day. Many people became fans of this TV series. Also, the series was preserved in DVD quality so it was much better to watch. The creators of M*A*S*H series were the first to display the terrors and horrors of war. There was a sense of dignity and respect for those who were injured, although, at times, there were a few jokes written in between the dialogues during such scenes to make the audience have a mixed feeling during such a serious scene of war. The credit of such good script goes to the writers and directors. In fact, M*A*S*H developed with a social importance, with people thinking the consequences of war.
